I took the SQE2 exams in July 2025, thinking it was better to do so while my Functional Legal Knowledge was relatively fresh following SQE1.
Maddie’s mock exams were widely praised online, and the package of 48 mocks was incredible value for money – especially considering you got access for a full calendar year, which I figured would be useful if I failed first time round. I combined the InhouseW mocks with the sample questions on the SRA website, studying the skills and marking criteria, and good old fashioned FLK revision. Having now sat the SQE2 exams, I feel Maddie’s mocks are reasonably representative of the type of questions asked. The fact that each mock came with a sample answer – example transcripts for the interviews, even, and a cheat sheet for a second person to use so you can do a live practice! – and an outline of the legal principles involved was really helpful.
I passed SQE2 on my first attempt, scoring in the first quintile, and I put that down to the skills learned through the InhouseW mocks. Thank you, Maddie, and good luck to future sitters!

I passed SQE1 on my first attempt but really struggled with applying the skills needed for SQE2. Books alone weren’t enough — there’s a huge difference between reading about the skills and actually performing them under exam conditions.

I do not think I would have SQE2 the first time without InHouse mock exams and notes. I used them to supplement my Barbri course notes and the mock exams from other providers. The written mocks were very challenging but really pushed me to know the black letter law. Maddie responded very quickly and thoroughly to my email queries. Her oral mock exams were equally challenging and it was very easy to book the live oral mock option. Her personalised, specific and thorough feedback on the live oral mocks were incredibly helpful. I used InhouseW’s mock exams to practice for SQE2 and found them invaluable. I opted to self study and so I needed extensive breakdowns of the correct answers in order to get to grips with what would be expected of me in the exams. The mocks were very representative of the real exam in terms of both content and length which ensured there were no nasty shocks on the day. As a side note, Maddie is incredibly helpful and responded quickly to any queries I had which was so reassuring as self studying meant I had no one else to bounce ideas/techniques off of.
