Why this isn't just another AI tool

The SQE2 Marking Buddy is right for you if:

4. Honest about what it is

I want to be upfront about this. The SQE2 Marking Buddy is an AI tool. It’s good — better than generic AI marking, better than self-marking, and significantly cheaper than human marking. But it’s still an AI.

That means:

  • It will occasionally miss things a human examiner would catch
  • It may sometimes be over-strict on specific points like statutory citations
  • It’s a study aid, not an exam predictor — don’t use the score to decide whether you’ll pass

Use it alongside your own judgement and your study materials. It’s at its most powerful when treated as a thinking partner that surfaces things to look at — not as an oracle that tells you the final answer.

This is also why it’s £8 a week or £20 a month, rather than £100 an hour. You’re paying for a useful study tool, not a personal tutor.
